This class offers a bridge to community, collegiate, and professional theatre through audition and resume training, and through productions that will prepare your student for the professional expectations that they will encounter in the world outside of youth theatre. It features a range of theatre styles over the years so that students who take it throughout their middle and high school career will have a wide knowledge of genres when they leave. Students receive personalized feedback on auditions and resumes and have expanded rehearsal time for advanced show quality. Both beginning and advanced actors will be challenged to grow and expand their acting range through hands-on ap

plication of various acting methods. This year’s production will be a literature based play (tbd) to be performed in May. PLEASE NOTE: During the spring, extra rehearsal days will be required outside of scheduled class times, including one to two Saturdays a month for January - April, plus added evening rehearsals. Students must be available for all rehearsals unless other arrangements have been made. A specific rehearsal schedule will be available in the fall. NOTE #2: This class and the Monday Performance and Class schedules do not conflict, so students can take both classes. The only substantial differences between the classes are who is teaching and what genre of play is produced, which varies from year to year.
