In this performance camp, students will rehearse and present a patriotic celebration of America’s 250th birthday. This camp is designed for students who love theatre! It’s a rigorous, exciting program, dedicated to actor training and theatre fun. Besides being a great opportunity to learn about theatre and the process that goes along with producing shows, this camp provides a supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow and to develop new friendships. The camp will be filled with learning and rehearsing, culminating in two to three performances at the end of the two weeks. Students will be expected to start memorizing lines before camp begins and may be required to provide some costume pieces, such as shoes, pants, etc. When they are not actively rehearsing, they may help prep the technical aspects of the show, such as sets, props, costumes, or they will work on memorization and characterization, either individually or in small groups.
