Acting and Stage Movement

Acting and Stage Movement is an in-depth course designed to give students an understanding of the fundamentals of acting, as well as extensive training in various performance techniques. It will challenge their knowledge, help them to gain confidence in their abilities, and teach them new skills to master stage presence and create memorable performances that will stand out. Students should be prepared to have fun and work hard, and should come dressed for movement and to be active. This 

class is especially good for those with some acting experience who wish to take their performances to the next level and also for those with little to no experience who wish to gain an introduction to acting. Homework will be required and will include characterization exercises, memorizing lines, and in-class scene work. 

PLEASE NOTE: There will be an IN CLASS showcase at the end of the year, with students doing memorized scenes while wearing company t-shirts. It is NOT a performance class and does NOT include full costumes, props, sets, lights, and sound.
