Costuming for the stage requires a great deal of planning, design, organization and preparation. Students will learn about the costume department and its organization, and about the care and management of the costumes and wigs. They will assist the costumers with the many aspects of designing a show, including creating a mood board on Pinterest or other platform; selection of costumes for each character; altering clothing pieces to fit the actors; making accessories and other parts of costumes as needed; and helping with care and storage of costumes after a show. PLEASE NOTE: Extra rehearsal days outside of scheduled class times will be required, which may include Saturdays and/or weeknights. Students must be available for all crew rehearsals for the shows unless other arrangements have been made. Schedules for the productions will be available by early fall.
