Makeup Training

Stage Makeup offers an immersive introduction to the art of practical makeup design for theatrical performances, film, and other stage productions. Throughout this course, students will delve into the intricate world of makeup application, mastering foundational techniques while honing their creativity. Throughout Stage Makeup, students will engage in hands-on practical exercises, demonstrations, and collaborative projects to develop proficiency in makeup application for diverse stage settings. By the end of the course, students will emerge with a comprehensive understanding of makeup design principles and the ability to create transformative makeup looks for stage productions. Students are expected to help with CSDC’s productions, unless they are performing in them. A calendar of rehearsals and performances for the shows will be sent out. Students will help with makeup and hair for the productions they choose to work.

PLEASE NOTE: Extra rehearsal days outside of scheduled class times will be required, which may include Saturdays and/or weeknights. Students must be available for all crew rehearsals for the shows they have chosen to work unless other arrangements have been made. Schedules for the productions will be available by early fall.
